| And so the decadence and debauchery begins...as we kick off our LA KinkBall Fetish Weekend #2 with “Fade To Black”, our official Meet & Greet party. If you have a fetish for hobnobbing with models and makers, movers and shakers, divas and fetishistas of the International scene, break out your fetish finery and lube up for what is shaping up to be a most fabulous lead off event. |
| We are extremely excited about hosting our very first fetish event ever (and the first in quite some time) in Downtown Los Angeles. For the uninformed, all of Downtown Los Angeles is going through a major gentrification, with tons of very cool stores, restaurants and clubs sprouting up everywhere, and it is exciting to be part of all of this. Although downtown still has it’s sketchy neighborhoods and inhabitants, The Artist District is definitely not one of those, so rest assured that you will be perfectly safe, and your car will be perfectly safe (the venue has a parking lot), so let’s all enjoy the great venue we have selected. |

For our kick off event, we have landed BORDELLO one of the hippest and coolest clubs in the Downtown Artists District. Anyone who has been to the venue unanimously agrees it simply oozes sex. I mean you get wet just walking through the door. Truly reminiscent of a 1940’s bordello, the venue’s black crystal chandeliers, red light bulbs, thick plush red velvet curtains, ornate mirrors, recessed parlor room, numerous nooks and crannies, etc., literally screams “Do Me” lol! It was quite a negotiation process to secure this venue, as the owners were originally “dead set” against hosting a fetish event and turned us down, referencing some prior bad experience with “our kinda people” (lol). |

| But after a little education and much negotiation, I convinced them that we would be nothing more than erotically dressed, respectful boys and girls, and on our best behavior. I think we have an excellent opportunity for more events at Bordello, if this one goes according to plan. Please be advised, that this is NOT a play party, so please control yourself in spite of the club’s orgasmic ambience, and be respectful of this fact. You can however bring your toy bags, because one of the main reasons I wanted to land this venue, is that it is literally half a block walking distance to our After party location, but more about this later down the page :-). |
| Our fetish dress code, as always, will be in full effect, so please look “absolutely fabulous”. I’m not exactly sure what the venue owners experienced in the past, but I for one want to see their eyes pop right out of their heads when our crowd hits the club. |
| We have some great entertainment lined up to spice up the evening. The glam-opera libertine, Prince Poppycock will be our special guest MC for the evening, as well as perform. Anyone who experienced him at either our last Masque or the most recent Kink In The Caribbean 8, know full well that PP is witty, sexy, charming and incredibly talented, thrilling audiences while decked out in powdered wig, brocade, silk and pantaloons. He is opera trained, but as he demonstrated hosting our Kinky Karaoke parties in Jamaica, he can Rock Out any time he feels inclined. |

Also this evening, you will get your very first look at Ariellah, a world renowned gothic fusion belly dancer, who infuses various genres of belly dance, all with a modern dark flavor that is uniquely her own. She is in a word, spellbinding. The style in which she moves and manipulates her body is erotic, dark, and utterly captivating. I first came upon Ariellah at EEMED (An Evening of Experimental Middle Eastern Dance) hosted annually in North Hollywood by belly dance performer, choreographer and teacher, Amara. I attended the event with the hope I might find some interesting performers for future events. When I saw Ariellah’s show, I knew I had to have her perform for LA KinkBall Weekend. You’ll have a second opportunity to see Ariellah perform at our Masque dinner/cabaret on Sunday, February 17th at El Cid. |

Immediately following the party, we’ll be hosting our first after party of the weekend at a private, fully equipped loft space less than a half a block away. Inspired by Saturday’s “Asylum” theme, we’ve named this party PASSIVE/AGGRESSIVE, and it will be a no holds barred, uncensored play party that’ll go till 6:00am. Play as hard as you like, get naked if you feel inclined, and let your inhibitions run wild. There are no rules at this space (as it should be)...but remember, play safe now :-) Advanced on line tickets for Passive/Aggressive at the low low price of just $10.00pp are available ONLY to Fade To Black attendees. All others wishing to attend the afterparty are invited to purchase tickets at the door.
